Senior Jira Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Jira Cloud Administrator with strong automation and integration skills to own our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem and connect it with the rest of our business tools. You will design Jira workflows, build Jira Automation rules and develop integrations with external systems using REST APIs, webhooks and low-code automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier and Make. This role combines Jira Cloud administration with hands‑on integration engineering. You will work with the business team to turn our processes into reliable, well‑documented automations.

What you will do:

• Administer Jira Cloud: projects (company‑managed and team‑managed), workflows, issue types, screens, custom fields, schemes, permissions and notifications

• Manage users, groups and access in Atlassian Administration

• Evaluate, configure and support Atlassian Marketplace apps

• Build and maintain Jira Automation rules using triggers, conditions, branching, smart values and webhooks, while keeping execution limits in mind

• Design, implement and support business process automation in Jira Cloud

• Integrate Jira with external systems (CRM, Help Desk, internal services) via Jira Cloud REST API, webhooks and automation platform n8n

• Build and maintain automation workflows: fetching and transforming data, calling APIs and handling errors and retries

• Write and improve scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for automations and integrations

• Troubleshoot integration issues by analyzing logs, API responses, HTTP status codes, payloads, authentication, permissions and rate limits

• Support, refactor and optimize existing integrations and automations

• Configure and support Jira Service Management Cloud (JSM)

• Document configurations, integrations and automation logic

Must have:

• 2+ years of hands‑on Jira Cloud administration experience

• Solid understanding of Jira Cloud architecture: workflows, schemes, permissions, project roles, custom fields, screens, and the difference between company‑managed and team‑managed projects

• Practical experience with Jira Automation for Cloud (smart values, branching, webhooks, automation limits)

• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs (including Jira Cloud REST API), webhooks, JSON and HTTP requests

• Hands‑on experience with at least one low‑code automation platform: n8n, Zapier or Make (Integromat)

• Ability to read and write scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python

• Proven experience integrating multiple systems with each other

• Good understanding of API authentication methods: API tokens, Basic Auth, OAuth 2.0

• Ability to work independently with API documentation and build integrations based on it

• Strong troubleshooting skills: logs, HTTP status codes, payloads, API errors and rate limiting

Nice to have:

• Experience with more than one of n8n, Zapier and Make, or with other low‑code platforms
