Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to take ownership of the CVAT.ai Python SDK and APIs. The role involves designing intuitive SDK interfaces, simplifying complex workflows, and collaborating directly with customers and community members to turn their needs into improvements. You will work on a widely used open‑source computer vision platform, ensuring stable public interfaces, backward compatibility, and high quality documentation. The position requires strong experience with Python packaging, dependency management, publishing to PyPI, and automated testing. You will also maintain CI/CD pipelines, support cross‑platform development on Linux, macOS, and Windows, and contribute to the open‑source community. The role is full‑time, remote, and open to candidates worldwide, with a preference for those based in the EU, Armenia, or Georgia.

- Strong experience building and maintaining Python SDKs or libraries with intuitive, stable public interfaces.
- Solid understanding of HTTP APIs, OpenAPI, authentication, API versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Experience with Python packaging, dependency management, and publishing to PyPI.
- Strong Git/GitHub practices, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience developing and testing Python software across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
- Experience writing clear developer documentation, examples, and tutorials.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions and delivery.
- Computer vision / machine learning experience.
- Open‑source contributions.
- Familiarity with ML/data tools such as Datumaro, FiftyOne, or DVC.
- Experience with AI‑assisted development tools.
